A wedding would not be complete without flowers. Flowers have always played an important role at weddings from decorating the venue to beautifying the bride, bridesmaids, and flower girls.

Flowers have been a significant part of weddings since ancient times when brides would carry a bouquet made of fragrant flowers and herbs or wear garlands made from scented flowers around their neck on their wedding day.

The bridal bouquet will always be a crucial part of a bride’s attire since it adds charm to the bride’s saree and appearance. Choosing the right bouquet for a wedding sari can be difficult for some brides. Below are some tips to help such women.

Types of bouquets

The three main types of bouquets that go well with the wedding saree are the:

Cascading bouquet

Size

Bridal bouquets come in different sizes and so do brides. The bouquet should not be too small or too big e.g. broader than the bride’s waist.

Petite brides should choose the cascade bouquet as this type of bouquet can help them look taller.

The hand-tied bouquet and the clutch bouquet are ideal for tall brides.

Brides on the heavy side should opt for the clutch bouquet made with large flowers. A bouquet with small sized flowers can make the bride look bigger.

What a beautiful group of brides. Facinating to see something other than the standard white for bridal gowns. I totally agree. It's not a wedding without real flowers.

Thank you Kathleen Cochran for stopping by. Pleased to know you liked the sarees and you're right, it really isn't a wedding without real flowers. White roses and red and yellow carnations have always been my favorite choice of flowers for a wedding :)
